This module empowers you to define the roles of all users within the application, along with their corresponding permissions.

Designed for application managers, it allows them to:

  • Add an occupant role.
  • Add a manager role.
  • Define the specific rights associated with each role across different modules.

When consulting the module, you'll have clear visibility into the roles of occupants and managers.

For each of these roles, you also have the option of:

  • Edit
  • Duplicate
  • Delete

Edit a role:

1ļøāƒ£About

To edit a role, first fill in the following information:

  • Role name
  • Building(s) on which the role is active
  • Description (optional)

2ļøāƒ£Manage rights

Once this information has been entered, you can then manage the rights of this role for each of the modules activated in your application.

For example, here, for the ā€˜news feedā€™ module, a manager has the following rights:

Occupants generally have more restricted rights:

You can also create additional occupant roles. For instance, if there's a communications manager, you can duplicate the existing ā€˜Occupantā€™ role and name it ā€˜Communications Managerā€™. When duplicating, ensure to fill in the initial information. Regarding permissions:

  • 'News Feedā€™ module: Enable all permissions.
  • Other modules: Keep them unchanged, granting the same permissions as the standard occupants.

3ļøāƒ£Users

Finally, you can also consult the list of users with this role:

You can also review the ā€˜Occupantsā€™ (or ā€˜Managersā€™) module by clicking on the occupant's name to view their role within the organisation. To do so, simply follow the instructions provided here: Managing the Role and Permissions of an Occupant.

Create a role:

The creation of a role involves exactly the same steps as editing a role.
